How to Use the QuickTime Player in Mac OS Mojave

The QuickTime Player is a multimedia player that comes installed on every Mac. It can be used to play, record, and edit audio and video. In this article, we’ll show you how to use the QuickTime Player in Mac OS Mojave.
Playing Audio and Video
QuickTime Player can be used to play audio and video files. To play a file, simply open it in QuickTime Player.
Playing Video Files
To play a video file, open it in QuickTime Player. The video will begin playing automatically.
You can control the playback of the video by using the playback controls in the QuickTime Player window.
You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts to control the playback of the video:
Spacebar: Play/Pause
Left Arrow: Rewind
Right Arrow: Fast Forward
Up Arrow: Increase Volume
Down Arrow: Decrease Volume

Recording Video

A new window will open. In this window, you can select the input source for your video recording.
You can record video from your webcam, or you can record the screen of your Mac.
To record video from your webcam, select “Built-in FaceTime HD Camera” from the “Camera” drop-down menu.
To record the screen of your Mac, select “Built-in Display” from the “Microphone” drop-down menu.
Once you’ve selected the input source for your video recording, click on the “Record” button to start recording.
To stop recording, click on the “Stop” button.
Recording Audio
To record audio, open QuickTime Player and click on the “File” menu. From the “File” menu, select “New Audio Recording”.
A new window will open. In this window, you can select the input source for your audio recording.
You can record audio from your microphone, or you can record the audio of your Mac.

Editing Audio and Video
QuickTime Player can be used to edit audio and video.
Trimming Audio and Video
To trim audio or video, open the file in QuickTime Player and click on the “Edit” menu. From the “Edit” menu, select “Trim”.
A new window will open. In this window, you can use the trimming controls to select the portion of the audio or video that you want to keep.
Once you’ve selected the portion of the audio or video that you want to keep, click on the “Trim” button.
Adding Effects to Audio and Video
QuickTime Player can be used to add effects to audio and video.
To add an effect to audio or video, open the file in QuickTime Player and click on the “Edit” menu. From the “Edit” menu, select “Effects”.

Saving Video as an MP4
To save video as an MP4, open the file in QuickTime Player and click on the “File” menu. From the “File” menu, select “Export As”.
A new window will open. In this window, select “MP4” from the “Format” drop-down menu.
Once you’ve selected the format, click on the “Export” button.

How to Use the QuickTime Player in Mac OS Mojave
Overview
The QuickTime Player, bundled with Mac OS, is a media player that supports a wide range of media formats, including audio and video files. You can use it to play media files from your hard drive, optical drive, or network drive. QuickTime Player also allows you to record your own audio and video.
Opening QuickTime Player
To open QuickTime Player, click on the Launchpad icon in the Dock and then click on the QuickTime Player icon.
Playing a Media File
