How to Use the Keynote App in Mac OS Mojave

Creating a New Presentation
To create a new presentation, open Keynote and click on the +
button in the upper left corner of the window. You can also go to File > New
. This will open a new window where you can choose a theme for your presentation. Once you’ve selected a theme, click Choose
and Keynote will create a new presentation with that theme.
Adding Slides
To add slides to your presentation, click on the +
button in the upper left corner of the window or go to File > New Slide
. This will open a new window with a variety of slide layouts to choose from. Select the layout you want and click Insert
. Keynote will add a new slide to your presentation using that layout.
Editing Slides
To edit the text on a slide, double-click on the text box and start typing. You can also change the font, color, and size of the text by selecting the text and clicking on the Format
button in the toolbar. To add an image to a slide, click on the +
button in the toolbar and select Image
. This will open a new window where you can choose an image from your computer. Once you’ve selected an image, click Insert
and Keynote will add it to your slide.
Presenting Your Slides
To present your slides, click on the Present
button in the upper left corner of the window or go to File > Present
. This will open a new window with your slides. To advance to the next slide, click on the right arrow
button in the bottom left corner of the window or press the right arrow
key on your keyboard. To go back to the previous slide, click on the left arrow
button in the bottom left corner of the window or press the left arrow
key on your keyboard.
If you want to use Keynote to create a presentation, you’ll first need to launch the Keynote app. You can do this by opening the Launchpad, which is located in the Dock, and then searching for and clicking on Keynote.
Once Keynote is open, you’ll see a blank canvas with a toolbar at the top. The first thing you’ll need to do is add a slide. To do this, click on the “+” icon in the toolbar.
You’ll then be able to choose from a variety of slide templates. Once you’ve selected a template, you’ll be able to add text, images, and other media to your slide.
To add text to your slide, simply click on the “T” icon in the toolbar and then click on the area of the slide where you want to add text. A text box will then appear. You can then start typing in your text.
To add an image to your slide, click on the “Image” icon in the toolbar. You’ll then be able to choose whether to add an image from your Mac or from the web.
If you want to add an image from your Mac, click on the “Choose” button and then select the image you want to use. If you want to add an image from the web, click on the “URL” button and then enter the URL of the image you want to use.
Once you’ve added all the content you want to your slide, you can then click on the “Presentation” icon in the toolbar to start presenting your slide.
When you first open Keynote, you’ll see a welcome screen with options to create a new presentation or open an existing one. You can also open recent presentations from this screen.
To create a new presentation, click the “New Presentation” button. You’ll be asked to choose a theme for your presentation. There are over 60 built-in themes to choose from, or you can click the “Create Custom Theme” button to create your own.
Once you’ve selected a theme, you’ll be taken to the Keynote editor. This is where you’ll add your slides and content.
To add a new slide, click the “+” button in the bottom left corner of the screen. You’ll be given a choice of slide layouts to choose from. Select the one you want and click “Create”.
To add content to your slide, click the “Add” button in the top right corner of the screen. This will open a menu of content options, including text, shapes, images, and more.
Once you’ve added all the content you want to your slide, you can click the “Present” button in the top right corner of the screen to start presenting your slide show.
When you’re finished presenting, click the “Done” button in the top right corner of the screen. This will take you back to the Keynote editor.
To save your presentation, click the “File” menu and select “Save”. You can also click the “File” menu and select “Save As” to save a copy of your presentation.

7. To add an animation to an object on a slide, click on the Animation button in the toolbar and then click on the object that you want to animate.
8. To play your presentation, click on the Play button in the toolbar. You can also play your presentation by pressing the Command + Option + P keys on your keyboard.
9. To export your presentation as a PDF, click on the File menu and select Export as PDF.
10. To export your presentation as a PowerPoint file, click on the File menu and select Export as PowerPoint.
