How to Use Split Screen on Google Pixel 7a

Google’s Pixel 7a is a great phone for multitasking. One of its most useful features is the ability to use split screen. This allows you to have two apps open at the same time, making it easy to switch between them. Here’s how to use split screen on your Pixel 7a.

Step 1: Open the first app

Open the first app that you want to use in split screen. For this example, we’ll use the Google Maps app.

Step 2: Bring up the multitasking view

There are two ways to bring up the multitasking view. The first is to swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The second is to tap the Recent Apps button, which is located to the left of the Home button.

Step 3: Select the second app

Once you’re in the multitasking view, you’ll see a list of all of the apps that you’ve recently used. Select the second app that you want to use in split screen. For this example, we’ll use the Google Chrome app.

Step 4: Use the split screen

You can now use both apps at the same time. To switch between them, simply tap on the app that you want to use. You can also adjust the size of each app by dragging the divider that’s in the middle of the screen.

Step 5: Exit split screen

When you’re done using split screen, there are two ways to exit. The first is to tap the recent apps button. The second is to swipe down from the top of the screen.

Assuming you have already set up your Google account on your new Pixel 7a:

1. Open the “Settings” app on your device and select “System”.

2. Tap “Advanced” and then select “Developer options”.

3. Scroll down to the “Debugging” section and enable the “USB debugging” option.

4. Connect your Pixel 7a to your computer using a USB cable.

5. On your computer, open the “Platform-Tools” folder and launch the “adb” executable.

6. In the “adb” command prompt, type the following command and press “Enter”:

adb shell wm size 1920×1080

7. Type the following command and press “Enter”:

adb shell wm density 280

8. Type the following command and press “Enter”:

adb reboot

9. Once your device has restarted, open the “Settings” app and go to “Display”.

10. Tap “Advanced” and select the “Raw DPI” option.

11. Set the “Raw DPI” value to “280” and tap “OK”.

12. Go back to the “Settings” app and select “System”.

13. Tap “About phone” and scroll down to the “Build number” section.

14. Tap the “Build number” entry seven times.

15. You should see a message that says “You are now a developer!”

16. Tap the “Back” button and go back to the “System” settings.

17. Tap “Advanced” and select the “Developer options” entry.

18. Scroll down to the “Drawing” section and enable the “Force 4x MSAA” option.

19. Go back to the “Settings” app and select “Apps & notifications”.

20. Tap “Advanced” and select the “Special app access” entry.

21. Tap the “Install unknown apps” entry.

22. Select the “Google Play Store” entry and enable the “Allow from this source” option.

23. Open the “Google Play Store” app and search for the “Split Screen Creator” app.

24. Install the “Split Screen Creator” app and launch it.

25. Tap the “Create” button and select the two apps that you want to run in split-screen mode.

26. Tap the “Create” button.

27. You should now see the two apps running in split-screen mode.

Assuming you have two apps open that support split screen mode, here’s how to enable it on your Google Pixel 7a:

1. Open the first app you want to use in split screen mode and tap the Recent Apps button in the navigation bar.

2. Find the second app you want to use in the list of recent apps and tap the icon to the left of its name to open it in split screen mode.

3. You can now adjust the size of each app by dragging the divider between them.

4. To exit split screen mode, simply tap the Recent Apps button again and then tap the X icon next to the second app’s name.

Assuming you have two apps open that support split screen view, here’s how to get started:

1. Open the first app you want to use in split screen view.

2. Tap the Recent Apps button on the bottom of your screen. This looks like three vertical lines stacked on top of each other.

3. Find the second app you want to use in split screen view and tap the icon to open it.

4. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open the split screen view controls.

5. Tap the icon in the top left corner of the first app to move it to the top of the screen.

6. Tap the icon in the top left corner of the second app to move it to the bottom of the screen.

7. To adjust the size of each app, drag the divider line between them to the left or right.

8. To exit split screen view, tap the icon in the top left corner of either app.
