Assuming you have both an Apple TV and a Mac running Mojave (or later), you can use AirPlay to wirelessly stream audio, video, and photos, as well as mirror your display. Here’s how:

To start, open whatever content you want to stream on your Mac. For example, open a video in QuickTime Player or iTunes, or open a photo in the Preview app.

Then click the AirPlay icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

Once you’ve selected your Apple TV, you’ll see a few different options depending on the type of content you’re trying to stream.

For example, if you’re trying to stream a video, you’ll see options for video quality, including Low, Medium, and High. You can also choose to mirror your display, which will show whatever is on your Mac’s screen on your TV.

If you’re just trying to stream audio, you’ll only see the option to mirror your display.

Once you’ve made your selections, your content will start streaming to your Apple TV.

If you want to stop streaming, just click the AirPlay icon again and select “Disconnect.”
