How to Set Up Your Samsung Galaxy S23

Before You Start

Before you start the process of setting up your Samsung Galaxy S23, there are a few things you’ll need to do first:

  • Make sure you have a SIM card inserted into your phone
  • Ensure your battery is fully charged
  • Connect to a Wi-Fi network (this will make the setup process quicker)

The Setup Process

  11. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose how to get apps’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  12. The next screen will say ‘Choose your security settings’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  13. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose your lock screen’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  14. The next screen will say ‘Choose your fingerprint’. If you’d like to set up a fingerprint for unlocking your phone, follow the prompts. If you don’t want to set up a fingerprint, tap on the ‘Skip’ button
  15. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose your Samsung account’. If you have a Samsung account, enter your email address and password. If you don’t have a Samsung account, tap on the ‘Create account’ button
  16. The next screen will say ‘Confirm your Samsung account’. Enter the verification code that was sent to your email address and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  17. The next screen will say ‘Sign in to your Samsung account’. If you already have a Samsung account, enter your email address and password. If you don’t have a Samsung account, tap on the ‘Create account’ button
  18. You’ll now be asked to ‘Confirm your Samsung account’. Enter the verification code that was sent to your email address and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  19. The next screen will say ‘Choose your Samsung account services’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  20. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose your Google account services’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  21. The next screen will say ‘Choose your Samsung account services’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  22. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose your backup and restore options’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  23. You’ll now be asked to ‘Restore from a Google Drive backup’. If you have a backup on Google Drive, select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Restore’ button. If you don’t have a backup on Google Drive, tap on the ‘Skip’ button
  24. You’ll now be asked to ‘Restore from a Samsung account backup’. If you have a backup on your Samsung account, select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Restore’ button. If you don’t have a backup on your Samsung account, tap on the ‘Skip’ button
  25. You’ll now be asked to ‘Set up payment methods’. If you’d like to set up a payment method, select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button. If you don’t want to set up a payment method, tap on the ‘Skip’ button
  26. The next screen will say ‘Confirm your Samsung account’. Enter the verification code that was sent to your email address and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  27. The next screen will say ‘Sign in to your Samsung account’. If you already have a Samsung account, enter your email address and password. If you don’t have a Samsung account, tap on the ‘Create account’ button
  28. You’ll now be asked to ‘Confirm your Samsung account’. Enter the verification code that was sent to your email address and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  29. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose your Samsung account services’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  30. The next screen will say ‘Choose your Google account services’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  31. You’ll now be asked to ‘Choose your backup and restore options’. Select the options you’d like and tap on the ‘Next’ button
  32. The next screen will say ‘Welcome to Samsung’. Tap on the ‘Start’ button
