What are the next steps?

There are a few things you can do to enhance your landscape photos even further in Affinity Photo:

1. Use the Adjustments panel

The Adjustments panel offers a range of options for fine-tuning your photos. You can use it to correct exposure, white balance, and contrast, as well as to apply filters and effects.

2. Use selective adjustments

Selective adjustments allow you to target specific areas of your photo for editing. This is especially useful for landscape photos, where you may want to selectively edit the sky or the foreground.

3. Use the tone mapping tool

The tone mapping tool can be used to create high dynamic range (HDR) images. This is a technique that is often used for landscape photography, as it allows you to capture a greater range of tones and details.

4. Use the lens correction tool

The lens correction tool can be used to fix distortion and other lens-related issues. This is particularly useful for wide-angle lenses, which can often cause distortion in photos.

5. Use the crop tool

The crop tool can be used to change the composition of your photo. This is often useful for landscape photos, as you may want to crop out distractions from the sides or the top and bottom of the frame.

6. Use the retouching tools

The retouching tools can be used to remove blemishes, dust, and other imperfections from your photos. This is especially useful for landscape photos, as you may want to remove objects that are detracting from the overall scene.

7. Use the export tool

The export tool allows you to save your photos in a variety of formats, including JPEG, TIFF, and PNG. You can also use it to resize your photos, change the file type, and apply additional settings.

This guide covers the basic steps for enhancing your landscape photos in Affinity Photo.

First, open your image in Affinity Photo and select the ‘Develop’ workspace.

Next, make any global adjustments to your image using the various tools in the ‘Develop’ toolbar. For example, you can use the ‘Exposure’ tool to increase or decrease the overall brightness of your image.

Once you’re happy with the global adjustments, it’s time to start working on the details.

To bring out the details in your landscape photo, start by increasing the ‘Clarity’ and ‘Structure’ values. You can find these options in the ‘Details’ tab of the ‘Develop’ toolbar.

If your image is looking a bit flat, you can also increase the ‘Contrast’ value.

Once you’re happy with the details in your image, it’s time to work on the colors.

To do this, select the ‘Color’ workspace and start playing around with the various color adjustment tools. For example, you can use the ‘Hue’ tool to change the overall color of your image.

You can also use the ‘Saturation’ and ‘Luminance’ tools to fine-tune the colors in your image.

Once you’re happy with the colors in your image, select the ‘Export’ option from the ‘File’ menu.

This will open the ‘Export’ dialog, where you can choose the file format, quality, and destination for your exported image.

That’s it! These are the basic steps for enhancing your landscape photos in Affinity Photo.
