How to Enable Dark Mode on the Google Pixel 7a

Posted on 20th June 2023

Google’s latest smartphone, the Pixel 7a, has a new feature called dark mode. Dark mode is a display setting that makes the background of your phone’s screen dark while the text and other elements remain light. This can help reduce eye strain and make your phone’s display easier to read in low-light conditions.

Enabling dark mode on your Pixel 7a is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your Pixel 7a.

2. Tap Display.

3. Tap Dark theme.

4. Enable the toggle switch next to Dark theme.

Your Pixel 7a’s display will now be in dark mode. If you want to disable dark mode, simply follow the same steps and disable the toggle switch.

Assuming you have already installed the latest version of Google Chrome, open the browser and head to the hamburger icon in the top-right corner. Tap that, and then select “Settings”. At the bottom of the Settings page, select “Advanced”. In the “Appearance” section, select “Themes”. From there, you can select the “Dark” option.

If you’re using a different browser, or an older version of Google Chrome, you can still enable dark mode by heading to the Google homepage and selecting the “Settings” icon in the top-right corner. From there, select “Appearance”, and then toggle the “Dark mode” switch to the “On” position.

Once you’ve enabled dark mode, all of the pages you visit in Google Chrome will automatically be displayed in dark mode. If you want to disable dark mode, simply head back to the “Appearance” section of the Settings page and toggle the “Dark mode” switch to the “Off” position.

Assuming you have updated your Google Pixel 7a to the latest Android version, you should be able to enable dark mode by following these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your Google Pixel 7a.
2. Tap on the Display option.
3. Select the Dark Theme option.
4. Toggle the Dark Theme switch to On.

Once you have enabled dark mode, you will notice that the majority of your Pixel 7a’s interface will change to a dark color scheme. This includes the Pixel Launcher, notification shade, Settings app, and most Google apps. Some third-party apps may also support dark mode, but not all of them do.

If you want to disable dark mode, simply follow the steps above and toggle the Dark Theme switch to Off.

To enable dark mode on the Google Pixel 7a, open the Settings app and tap on Display. Then, tap on Advanced to access more display settings. Next, tap on Device theme and select the Dark option. Finally, tap on the Apply button to enable dark mode.

If you want to enable dark mode automatically, you can do so by tapping on the Automatic option under the Device theme setting. Then, select the schedule that you want dark mode to be enabled. For example, you can select to have dark mode enabled from sunset to sunrise.

You can also enable dark mode on specific apps by going to the App theme setting and selecting the Dark option.

There are also some third-party apps that can enable dark mode on your Pixel 7a. For example, you can use the Twilight app to enable dark mode based on the time of day.

Overall, dark mode can help reduce eye strain and battery consumption on your Pixel 7a. So, if you haven’t already enabled dark mode, we recommend that you do so.

Google’s Pixel 7a is a great phone, but one thing that could make it even better is the addition of a dark mode. Luckily, dark mode is now available on the Pixel 7a, and it’s easy to enable.

To enable dark mode on the Pixel 7a, simply go to Settings > Display > Theme and select “Dark.” Once dark mode is enabled, all of the phone’s UI elements will switch to a dark color scheme, making it easier on the eyes when using the phone in low-light conditions.

If you’re not a fan of dark mode, you can always disable it by going back to Settings > Display > Theme and selecting “Light.”

To enable dark mode on your Google Pixel 7a, head to Settings > Display > Theme. From here, you can select “Dark” to enable the dark mode theme.

If you don’t see the “Theme” option in your display settings, you may need to update your Google Pixel 7a to the latest software version. To do this, go to Settings > System > System Update.

Once you’ve enabled dark mode, you’ll notice that your home screen, apps, and menus will all adopt a dark color scheme. This can help reduce eye strain, especially in low-light conditions.

If you want to take things a step further, you can enable “Night Light” on your Google Pixel 7a. This feature adjusts the color temperature of your display to reduce blue light emission, which can help you sleep better at night.

To enable Night Light, go to Settings > Display > Night Light. Here, you can schedule when Night Light should turn on and off, or you can enable it manually.

To enable dark mode on your Google Pixel 7a:

1. Open the Settings app on your phone.

2. Tap on “Display”.

3. Tap on the “Advanced” option.

4. Tap on the toggle next to “Dark theme” to turn it on.

Your phone will now use a dark theme for the interface and supported apps. Keep in mind that not all apps support dark mode yet, so you may see some inconsistencies.

Assuming you have updated to Android 10, Dark Mode can be enabled in the display settings.

Open your phone’s Settings app.
Tap Display.
Tap Dark theme.

If you don’t see “Dark theme,” follow the steps for older Android versions below.

To save power, you can enable battery saver mode. This will automatically enable Dark theme when your battery is low.

Open your phone’s Settings app.
Tap Battery.
Tap the Battery saver switch to turn it On or Off.

When battery saver is on, Dark theme is always on.

Assuming you have a Google Pixel 7a:

1. Open the Settings app on your phone
2. Tap Display
3. Tap Advanced
4. Tap Device theme
5. Select Dark from the options (you can also choose Automatic, which will switch to dark mode at sunset)
6. Exit the Settings app

You can also enable dark mode by going to the Quick Settings panel and tapping on the Dark mode tile.
