The always-on display is a handy feature that keeps your Pixel 6a’s screen turned on so you can see the time, date, and your notifications without having to wake up the phone. You can customize the always-on display to make it your own, and in this article, we’ll show you how.

To access the always-on display settings, open the Settings app and tap “Display.” Then, tap “Always-On Display.”

From here, you can customize the following aspects of the always-on display:

Clock style: You can choose from a digital or analog clock, or a custom clock face. To add a custom clock face, tap “Add clock face” and choose from the available options.

Information: You can choose which information is displayed on the always-on display, including the time, date, battery level, and notifications. To add or remove an item, tap the toggle next to it.

Display timeout: This is the amount of time the always-on display will stay on after you’ve interacted with your phone. You can choose from 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or always on.

If you want to disable the always-on display, tap the toggle at the top of the screen.

Once you have installed the app, open it and grant it the necessary permissions. Then, tap on the “Customization” tab and select the “Always On Display” option.

From here, you can customize the always-on display to your liking. You can change the clock style, add a calendar event, add a weather widget, and more.
