How to Add Slide Numbers in Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11

Slide numbers are a great way to keep track of your progress as you work on a PowerPoint presentation. You can add slide numbers in Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11 in a few simple steps.
Step 1: Open PowerPoint and create a new presentation
Open Microsoft PowerPoint and create a new presentation. You can do this by clicking the “File” tab in the top-left corner of the screen and selecting “New” from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Select the “Insert” tab
Click the “Insert” tab at the top of the screen. This will open a new menu of options on the ribbon.
Step 3: Click the “Slide Number” button
Click the “Slide Number” button in the “Header & Footer” section of the “Insert” tab. This will insert a slide number placeholder on your slide.
Step 4: Type the slide number
Click inside the slide number placeholder and type the number of the slide you want to appear. You can also add text before or after the slide number by typing in the placeholder.
Step 5: Format the slide number
You can format the slide number by selecting it and clicking the “Format” tab. From here, you can change the font, size, color, and alignment of the slide number.
Step 6: Save your PowerPoint presentation
When you’re finished adding slide numbers, click the “File” tab and select “Save” from the drop-down menu. Give your presentation a name and choose a location to save it.
If you’re using Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11, you can add slide numbers to your presentation. Slide numbers can help your audience follow along with your presentation, and they can also be useful for reference purposes.
To add slide numbers in Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11, open your presentation in PowerPoint and click on the “Insert” tab. Then, click on the “Slide Number” button in the “Text” section of the ribbon.
PowerPoint will insert a slide number placeholder on your slide. You can then format the slide number placeholder using the options in the “Format” tab. For example, you can change the font, size, and color of the slide number.
Once you’re happy with the way your slide numbers look, click on the “File” tab and then click “Save” to save your presentation.
In PowerPoint, slide numbers appear on the bottom left of your slide by default. You can change the position, font, and color of your slide numbers in the Slide Number pane on the left side of the PowerPoint window.
To add slide numbers in PowerPoint:

3. A code box will appear in the bottom left corner of your slide.

You can also add slide numbers to your PowerPoint slides using the Header and Footer tool.

4. In the Slide Number section, select the Slide Number checkbox.

You can also add slide numbers to your PowerPoint slides using the Slide Master.
1. Go to the View tab on the PowerPoint ribbon.
2. In the Master Views group, click on the Slide Master button.
3. The Slide Master will appear on the right side of the PowerPoint window.
4. In the Slide Number section, select the Slide Number checkbox.
5. Your slide number will now appear in the bottom left corner of your slide.
You can also add slide numbers to your PowerPoint slides using the Notes Master.
1. Go to the View tab on the PowerPoint ribbon.
2. In the Master Views group, click on the Notes Master button.
3. The Notes Master will appear on the right side of the PowerPoint window.
4. In the Slide Number section, select the Slide Number checkbox.
5. Your slide number will now appear in the bottom left corner of your slide.
You can also add slide numbers to your PowerPoint slides using the Handout Master.
1. Go to the View tab on the PowerPoint ribbon.
2. In the Master Views group, click on the Handout Master button.
3. The Handout Master will appear on the right side of the PowerPoint window.
4. In the Slide Number section, select the Slide Number checkbox.
5. Your slide number will now appear in the bottom left corner of your slide.
To add slide numbers in Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11:
1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.
2. Click on the “Insert” tab.
3. In the “Text” group, click on the “Header & Footer” button.
4. A dialog box will appear. In the “Header” section, check the “Slide number” checkbox.
5. Click on the “Apply to all” button.
6. Click on the “Close” button.
Your slide numbers will now appear on each slide in your presentation.
To add slide numbers:
1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.
2. Click on the “Insert” tab.
3. In the “Text” group, click on the “Header & Footer” button.
4. A menu will appear. Click on the “Slide Number” checkbox.
5. Click on the “Apply to All” button.
6. Click on the “Close” button.
Your slide numbers will now appear on each slide in your presentation.
Assuming you have already set up your PowerPoint presentation with the desired slides, you can add slide numbers by following these steps:
1. Open the PowerPoint presentation you wish to add slide numbers to.
2. On the “Insert” tab, click “Header & Footer”.
3. In the “Header & Footer” pane, check the “Slide number” box.
4. Click “Apply to All”.
You should now see slide numbers on all your slides. If you wish to change the format of the slide numbers, you can do so by clicking on the “Slide number” box in the “Header & Footer” pane and selecting “Format Slide Numbers”.
4. In the “Insert” tab, click on the “Header & Footer” button.
5. In the “Header & Footer” pane, click on the “Slide number” checkbox.
6. The slide number will now appear in the footer of each slide.
