If you’re looking for a little more customization and personalization with your home automation, TP-Link Kasa Scenes may be just what you need. Kasa Scenes allows you to create custom automation “scenes” that can be activated with a single button press. With Kasa Scenes, you can customize your automation to fit your unique lifestyle and needs.

Creating Custom Scenes

Creating a custom scene with TP-Link Kasa is easy. First, open the Kasa app and tap on the “Scenes” tab. Then, tap on the “Create Scene” button. You’ll be prompted to give your scene a name and an optional description.

Once you’ve given your scene a name, you can start adding devices. To add a device, simply tap on the “+” button and select the device you want to add. You can add as many devices as you want to a single scene.

After you’ve added all the devices you want to include in your scene, you can start customizing the settings for each device. For example, if you’re creating a “Good Morning” scene, you might want to turn on the lights, start the coffee maker, and turn on the TV.

Once you’ve customized the settings for each device, you can save your scene. Once your scene is saved, you can activate it with a single tap whenever you want.

Activating Custom Scenes

There are two ways to activate a custom scene that you’ve created with TP-Link Kasa. The first way is to simply open the Kasa app and tap on the scene you want to activate. This will activate the scene and all of the devices included in it.

The second way to activate a scene is to use the Kasa Smart Home Skill for Amazon Alexa. With this skill, you can activate any of your custom scenes with your voice. Simply say “Alexa, turn on [scene name].” For example, if you created a scene called “Good Morning,” you would say “Alexa, turn on Good Morning.”

Conclusion

With TP-Link Kasa Scenes, you can easily create custom automation scenes that fit your unique needs and lifestyle. Kasa Scenes makes it easy to personalize your smart home and make it work for you.

To create a Scene, go to the Automation tab within the Kasa app and select the “Create Scene” button. You can then give your Scene a name and tap “Add Device” to select the Kasa devices you want to include. You can also add conditions, such as “only if it’s after sunset.”

Once you have your Scene set up, you can tap the “Run Now” button to test it out. If everything looks good, tap “Save” and your Scene will be saved and ready to run automatically according to the schedule and conditions you set.

If you want to get even more out of your Scene, you can tap the “Advanced” button within the Automation tab. This will allow you to set up multiple actions for each device in your Scene. For example, you could set your light to turn on at 50% brightness when your Scene is triggered, and then gradually increase the brightness to 100% over the course of 30 seconds.

You can also use the “Advanced” button to set up different actions for different times of day. So, if you want your light to turn on at 50% brightness in the evening, but only at 30% brightness during the day, you can set that up using the “Advanced” button.

Finally, the “Advanced” button also allows you to set up different actions for different days of the week. So, if you want your light to turn on at 50% brightness on weekdays, but only at 30% brightness on weekends, you can set that up using the “Advanced” button.

The “Advanced” button really opens up a lot of possibilities for customizing your Scene, and we highly recommend taking advantage of it to get the most out of your Scene.

When you’re ready to start customizing your home automation, the first step is to create a TP-Link Kasa account and connect your Kasa devices. Once you’re logged in, click on the “Scenes” tab in the left sidebar.

This is where you’ll create, edit, and delete scenes. A scene is a collection of settings for your Kasa devices that you can activate with a single click. For example, you could create a scene called “Goodnight” that turns off all the lights in your house and sets the thermostat to 68 degrees.

To create a new scene, click the “Create Scene” button. Give your scene a name and description, then click “Create”.

Now it’s time to add some devices to your scene. Click the “Add Device” button and select the devices you want to include. For each device, you can choose what settings you want to apply when the scene is activated.

When you’re finished, click the “Save” button. Your scene is now ready to use!

To activate a scene, click the “Activate” button. Your Kasa devices will instantly change to the settings you’ve configured.

You can also schedule scenes to activate automatically at certain times or on certain days. To do this, click the “Schedule” tab and then click the “Add Schedule” button.

Select the scene you want to schedule, then choose when you want it to activate. You can schedule a scene to activate once, daily, weekly, or even monthly. When you’re finished, click the “Save” button.

You can also activate scenes using voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. To do this, you’ll first need to install the TP-Link Smart Home Skill or Action.

Once you’ve done that, just say “Alexa, turn on Goodnight” or “Hey Google, turn on Goodnight”. Your Kasa devices will instantly change to the settings you’ve configured for that scene.

With TP-Link Kasa Scenes, you can easily customize your home automation to fit your needs. With just a few clicks, you can create scenes that turn on the lights, adjust the thermostat, or even turn off all the devices in your house.
