How to Reset Your Google Pixel 7a to Factory Settings

If you’re having trouble with your Google Pixel 7a, you may need to reset it to factory settings. This will wipe all of your data and start the phone from scratch. Here’s how to do it:

Back up your data

  6. You should see an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words No command. Press the Power button and Volume up button at the same time.
  7. Use the Volume buttons to scroll to wipe data/factory reset, then press the Power button to select it.
  8. Scroll to Yes — delete all user data, then press the Power button.
  9. When the reset is finished, press the Power button to restart your phone.

After you reset

After you reset, you’ll need to set up your phone again. To set up your phone:

  1. Turn on your phone.
  2. Connect to a Wi-Fi network, or use your mobile data connection.
  3. Sign in to your Google Account.
  4. Restore your backup.

If you can’t sign in to your Google Account, you can only use your phone as a guest.

Assuming you have completed the above steps, you will now see the “Reset” option. Tap on it. You will be asked to confirm whether you want to reset your device to factory settings. Tap on the “Reset” button to confirm. Your device will now reboot and all your data will be erased.
