Adding slide transitions in Microsoft PowerPoint can help your slides stand out and keep your audience engaged. Transitions can be subtle or dramatic, and you can even add sound effects to them. Here’s how to add slide transitions in Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11.

First, open your PowerPoint presentation and click on the slide that you want to add a transition to. Then, click the “Transitions” tab at the top of the screen.

Next, click the drop-down menu next to “Transition to This Slide” and choose the transition you want to use. You can preview the transition by clicking on the “Preview” button.

Once you’ve selected the transition you want to use, click on the “Apply” button. You can then adjust the duration of the transition by clicking on the “Duration” drop-down menu.

Finally, click on the “Sound” drop-down menu and choose a sound effect for the transition, if desired. Then, click on the “Apply” button.

Your slide transition will now be applied!

There are a few ways to add slide transitions in Microsoft PowerPoint on Windows 11. The first way is to click on the “Transitions” tab in the top menu. Then, click on the type of transition you want to add in the “Transition to This Slide” section. You can also click on the “More” button to see more transition options.

Another way to add slide transitions is to right-click on the slide you want to add a transition to. Then, click on “Transitions” in the drop-down menu. You will see the same “Transition to This Slide” section. Choose the type of transition you want to add.

You can also add transitions by going to the “Animations” tab. Then, click on the “Add Animation” button. Choose the type of transition you want to add from the list.

Once you have added a transition, you can change its settings by clicking on the “Effect Options” button. This will open a new window where you can change the duration, sound, and other settings.

When you are finished adding transitions, click on the “Preview” button to see how they look. If you are happy with the results, click on the “Apply” button.

Assuming you have your slides all set up the way you want them, with text, images, and whatever else, and are now ready to add transitions between slides:

Click on the first slide. In the “Transitions” tab, located in the top ribbon, find the “Transition to This Slide” group. This group contains all the available transitions. By default, PowerPoint will have “None” selected. Hover your mouse over the different transition options to get a preview of how they will look. When you find one you like, click on it to select it.

Now, all you have to do is click on the “Apply to All” button and PowerPoint will add the transition you selected to all the slides in your presentation.

If you want to add a sound to accompany the transition, such as a ripple or whoosh, click on the “Sound” drop-down menu and choose an option from the list.

And that’s all there is to adding transitions to your PowerPoint presentation!

Click on the “Transitions” tab in the top navigation menu. This will open up the transitions pane on the right side of the screen. From here, you can browse through the different transition options and preview them by clicking on the “Preview” button. When you find one you like, simply click on the “Apply” button to add it to your presentation.
