Posted on 16th June 2023

Notifications can be a great way to stay on top of things, but they can also be a huge pain if they’re constantly going off and interrupting you. If you’re looking for a way to customize your notifications on the iPhone 14, here’s a guide to help you get started.

How to Manage Notifications on the iPhone 14

There are two ways to manage your notifications on the iPhone 14: through the Settings app or through the Notifications panel. We’ll go over both methods so you can decide which one works best for you.

Method 1: The Settings App

The first way to manage your notifications is through the Settings app. This is the recommended method if you want to have more control over your notifications, as it gives you access to more options and settings.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone 14.
  2. Tap on Notifications.
  3. You’ll now see a list of all the apps on your phone that can send notifications. Tap on the app you want to customize.
  4. On the next screen, you’ll see a few different options that you can customize. These include the following:
    • Allow Notifications: This toggle allows you to turn notifications on or off for the selected app. If you want to completely disable notifications from an app, simply turn this toggle off.
    • Show in Notification Center: This toggle allows you to choose whether or not you want notifications from the selected app to appear in the Notification Center. If you don’t want to see notifications from an app in the Notification Center, simply turn this toggle off.
    • Show on Lock Screen: This toggle allows you to choose whether or not you want notifications from the selected app to appear on your lock screen. If you don’t want to see notifications from an app on your lock screen, simply turn this toggle off.
    • Badge App Icon: This toggle allows you to choose whether or not you want the app icon to have a “badge” (a small red dot) to indicate that there are new notifications. If you don’t want to see the badge, simply turn this toggle off.
    • Sounds: This toggle allows you to choose whether or not you want to hear a sound when you receive a notification from the selected app. If you don’t want to hear a sound, simply turn this toggle off.

Method 2: The Notifications Panel

The second way to manage your notifications is through the Notifications panel. This method is quick and easy, but it doesn’t give you as much control over your notifications as the Settings app method.

  1. Open the Notifications panel on your iPhone 14.
  2. You’ll now see a list of all the apps that have sent you notifications. Tap on the X next to the app you want to disable notifications for.
  3. You’ll now see a popup asking if you want to disable notifications for the selected app. Tap on Disable.
