How to Set Up Your Google Pixel 6a

Before You Start

Before you start the setup process, there are a few things you’ll need:

  • A Google account
  • A Wi-Fi or mobile data connection
  • A compatible charger
  • A compatible SIM card

Step One: Charge Your Phone

Before you start the setup process, you’ll need to make sure your phone is charged. To do this, connect your phone to a compatible charger using the USB cable that came in the box. Once your phone is connected, you’ll see a charging icon on the screen.

Step Two: Turn On Your Phone

To turn on your phone, press and hold the power button for a few seconds. Once your phone is turned on, you’ll see the Google Pixel setup screen.

14. You will now be asked to set up your device’s privacy and security. Choose your preferred privacy and security settings and tap “Next”.

15. You will now be asked to set up your device’s system updates. Choose whether you would like to receive system updates over Wi-Fi or cellular data, then tap “Next”.

16. You will now be asked to set up your device’s time and date. Choose your preferred time zone and tap “Next”.

17. You will now be asked to set up your device’s accessibility features. Choose whether you would like to set up any accessibility features and follow the prompts.

18. You will now be asked to set up your device’s language. Choose your preferred language and tap “Next”.

19. You will now be asked to set up your device’s keyboard. Choose your preferred keyboard settings and tap “Next”.

20. You will now be asked to set up your device’s Google apps. Choose whether you would like to set up any Google apps and follow the prompts.

21. You will now be asked to set up your device’s storage. Choose whether you would like to store your data on your Google account or on an external storage device, then tap “Next”.

22. You will now be asked to set up your device’s backups. Choose whether you would like to back up your data to your Google account or to an external storage device, then tap “Next”.

23. You will now be asked to set up your device’s system updates. Choose whether you would like to receive system updates over Wi-Fi or cellular data, then tap “Next”.

24. You will now be asked to set up your device’s power management. Choose your preferred power management settings and tap “Next”.

25. You will now be asked to set up your device’s security. Choose your preferred security settings and tap “Next”.

26. You will now be asked to review your privacy and security settings. Review your settings and tap “Next”.

27. You will now be asked to set up your device’s location services. Choose whether you would like to use location services and tap “Next”.

28. You will now be asked to set up your device’s accounts. Choose whether you would like to add any accounts and follow the prompts.

29. You will now be asked to review your settings. Review your settings and tap “Finish”.

Your Google Pixel 6a is now set up and ready to use!
