How to Use Mission Control in Mac OS Mojave

What is Mission Control?

Mission Control is a feature of Mac OS Mojave that allows you to see all of your open windows and apps at a glance, and quickly switch between them. It’s especially useful for multitasking and managing your windows. Here’s how to use it.

Opening Mission Control

There are a few different ways to open Mission Control. The simplest is to just click the Mission Control icon in your Dock. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Control + Up Arrow. Or, if you have a trackpad, you can use Three Finger Swipe Up.

Navigating Mission Control

Once you have Mission Control open, you’ll see all of your open windows and apps. You can navigate it using your mouse or trackpad. To select a window or app, just click on it. To scroll through your windows and apps, use the scrollbars on the right and bottom of the screen. Or, if you have a trackpad, you can use Two Finger Swipe Up or Down.

Closing Mission Control

When you’re done using Mission Control, you can close it by clicking the close button in the top-left corner of the screen. Or, you can use the keyboard shortcut Control + Up Arrow. Or, if you have a trackpad, you can use Three Finger Swipe Up.

In Mac OS Mojave, Mission Control is a great way to organize your open windows and get a bird’s eye view of your desktop. Here’s how to use it.

To open Mission Control, click the Mission Control icon in the Dock, or use the Control Strip.

In Mission Control, you see a thumbnail of each open window, as well as any full-screen apps or Spaces you’ve created. To see a preview of an open window, hover your pointer over the window’s thumbnail.

To see all the windows in a single Space, click the Space in the Mission Control thumbnail grid.

To create a new Space, click the Add button (the plus sign) in the upper-right corner of the Mission Control window.

To move a window to a different Space, drag the window’s thumbnail to the Space you want to move it to.

To delete a Space, move all the windows out of it, then click the X button next to the Space in the thumbnail grid.

When you’re finished using Mission Control, click the Close button in the upper-left corner of the window, or press the Escape key.

• All of your open windows: Mission Control groups your windows by app, so you can see everything you have open in one place.

• The Dashboard: The Dashboard is a space where you can see widgets like the Weather and Calendar. You can also add your own custom widgets.

• Spaces: Spaces are virtual desktops that you can use to keep your work organized. For example, you can have one Space for work and another for leisure.

To switch between windows or apps, just click on the one you want to open. To close a window or app, hover your mouse over it and click the X in the top-left corner.

You can also create new Spaces from Mission Control. Just click the “+” button in the top-right corner.

Assuming you have a trackpad, you can use the following gestures to access Mission Control:

Pinch with three fingers to open Mission Control
Swipe up with three fingers to open Mission Control
Swipe left or right with four fingers to switch between full-screen apps

If you don’t have a trackpad, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

Press Control+Up Arrow to open Mission Control
Press Control+Left Arrow or Right Arrow to switch between full-screen apps

In Mission Control, you will see a thumbnail of each open window, as well as any full-screen apps or spaces you have created. To switch to a different window, just click on its thumbnail.

If you want to close a window, hover your mouse over the thumbnail and click the X in the top-left corner.

To create a new space, click the “+” button in the top-right corner of Mission Control. You can then drag a window into the new space to move it there.

In the upper right corner of your screen is the Mission Control icon. Click it to open Mission Control.

You will see several options for customizing your Mission Control experience. For example, you can change the background, add or remove desktops, and more.

To add a new desktop, click the “+” button in the upper right corner of Mission Control.

To remove a desktop, hover your mouse over the desktop you want to remove and click the “x” that appears in the upper left corner.

You can also drag and drop windows between different desktops. Simply click and hold on the window you want to move, then drag it to the desired desktop.
