How to Use Guided Access on the iPhone 14

Guided Access is an accessibility feature on the iPhone that allows you to limit your device to a single app and control which app features are available. This can be useful for people with autism or other developmental disabilities who may get overwhelmed by too many app features, or for anyone who wants to limit their device usage to a single app.

To use Guided Access, open the Settings app and tap on General. Scroll down and tap on Accessibility. Scroll down and tap on Guided Access. Turn on the Guided Access switch.

Once Guided Access is turned on, you can triple-click the Home button to start it. You will be asked to set a passcode. This passcode is different from your device passcode and is used to turn off Guided Access. Once you’ve set a passcode, you can triple-click the Home button again to start Guided Access.

The first time you start Guided Access, you’ll be asked to choose which app you want to use. Choose the app you want to use and tap Start.

Once you’ve started Guided Access, you can use the controls at the bottom of the screen to turn off specific app features. For example, you can turn off the ability to tap on links, use the Home button, or access specific app features.

When you’re finished using the app, triple-click the Home button and enter your Guided Access passcode to turn off Guided Access.

Assuming you have an iPhone 14, follow these steps to use Guided Access:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and tap Accessibility.
3. Scroll down and tap Guided Access.
4. Tap the toggle switch next to Guided Access to turn it on.
5. Tap the toggle switch next to Accessibility Shortcut to turn it on.
6. Tap the triple-circle button next to Options.
7. Tap any of the following options that you want to use:
– Motion: Prevents the device from responding to tilt
– Touch: Prevents the device from responding to touch
– Button Shapes: Makes buttons and other controls on the screen easier to see
– Timeout: Sets a time limit for Guided Access
8. Tap Start in the upper-right corner.
9. Use the app as normal.

To end a Guided Access session, triple-click the Home button. You’ll be asked to enter a passcode. Once you enter the passcode, Guided Access will end and you can use your iPhone as usual.

Assuming you have an iPhone 14, open the “Settings” app and scroll down to “Accessibility”. Tap on this option and then select “Guided Access” from the list of available options.

Turn on the “Guided Access” toggle switch at the top of the screen and then tap on the “Accessibility Shortcut” option just below it. Here, you can choose what triple-click shortcut will activate Guided Access. By default, this is set to the “Side Button + Volume Up” combination but you can change it to something else if you wish.

With Guided Access turned on, open the app that you want to use and then triple-click the shortcut that you configured in the previous step. This will bring up the Guided Access options menu.

From here, you can choose to enable or disable various features such as the Touch, Motion, and Keyboards. You can also configure a time limit for how long the app can be used for before it automatically exits Guided Access mode.

Once you’re happy with the settings, tap on the “Start” button at the top-right of the screen. The app will now be in Guided Access mode and you will be unable to exit it without entering your passcode.

To exit Guided Access mode, triple-click the shortcut again and enter your passcode. This will bring up the Guided Access options menu once again. From here, simply tap on the “End” button at the top-left of the screen.

Assuming you have an iPhone 14:

First, open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
Next, select “General,” then “Accessibility.”
Scroll down to the “Learning” section and select “Guided Access.”
Tap the “Guided Access” switch to turn it on.

Now that Guided Access is turned on, you can use it in any app. To do so, open the app you want to use with Guided Access and triple-click the “Home” button. This will bring up the Guided Access options.

There are three options at the top of the screen:

“Start Guided Access” – This will start Guided Access and immediately lock your iPhone to the app you’re currently in.
“Options” – This will let you customize the Guided Access experience. We’ll talk more about that in a bit.
“Cancel” – This will cancel Guided Access and take you back to the app you were in.

When you’re ready, tap “Start Guided Access.”

“Notifications” – This will let you enable or disable notifications. If you disable notifications, you won’t receive any notifications while in Guided Access.
“Microphone” – This will let you enable or disable the microphone. If you disable the microphone, you won’t be able to use it while in Guided Access.
