Creating a New Photoshop Document

The first step in creating a photo collage is to create a new Photoshop document. To do this, open Photoshop and click on the “File” menu. Then, click on the “New” option.

In the New Document dialog box, you’ll need to specify the width, height, and resolution of your document. For this tutorial, we’ll be creating a document that is 8 inches by 10 inches. The resolution can be set to anything you like, but we recommend using a resolution of 300 pixels/inch.

Once you’ve specified the width, height, and resolution of your document, click on the “OK” button.

Adding Photos to Your Document

Now that you have a new Photoshop document, it’s time to add some photos. To do this, click on the “File” menu and then click on the “Open” option. In the Open dialog box, navigate to the location of the photos you want to use in your collage. Then, select the photos and click on the “Open” button.

Once you’ve added all of the photos you want to use, you’ll need to position them in your document. To do this, click on the “Move Tool” in the Toolbox. Then, click on one of the photos and drag it into position. Repeat this process for each of the photos you want to use in your collage.

Resizing and Rotating Photos

Once you’ve positioned all of the photos in your document, you’ll need to resize and rotate them as needed. To resize a photo, click on the “Transform Tool” in the Toolbox. Then, click on one of the corner handles of the photo and drag it in or out.

To rotate a photo, position your mouse cursor just outside of one of the corner handles. Then, click and drag to rotate the photo.

Adding Text

Now that you’ve added all of the photos to your document and positioned them as desired, you can add some text. To do this, click on the “Text Tool” in the Toolbox. Then, click on the location in your document where you want to add the text.

In the Text dialog box, you can specify the font, size, and color of your text. You can also use the “Text Orientation” options to specify how the text should be aligned. Once you’ve entered the text, click on the “OK” button.

Now that you’ve added the text, you can position it as desired. To do this, click on the “Move Tool” in the Toolbox. Then, click on the text and drag it into position.

Saving Your Collage

Once you’re happy with your collage, it’s time to save it. To do this, click on the “File” menu and then click on the “Save As” option. In the Save As dialog box, enter a name for your collage and choose a location to save it. Then, click on the “Save” button.
