Mac OS Mojave comes with a new and improved Preview app that includes a bunch of new markup tools. In this article, we’ll show you how to use the new annotation and document editing features in Preview.

To get started, open any PDF or image in Preview. You’ll see a toolbar at the top of the window with all of the new markup tools.

To annotate a document, click the “Annotate” button in the toolbar and then select the type of annotation you want to add. You can add a note, highlight text, draw a shape, or add a signature.

To edit a document, click the “Edit” button in the toolbar and then select the type of edit you want to make. You can add text, images, or signatures.

That’s all there is to using the new markup tools in Preview! With these tools, you can easily annotate and edit documents without having to open a separate app.

The new markup tools in Preview are fantastic for annotating PDFs and images, but they’re also great for adding to photos. With the new Instant Markup feature, you can quickly add text, shapes, and signatures to photos without having to open them in an editing app.

To use Instant Markup, open a photo in the Preview app and click the Edit button in the toolbar. Then, click the Instant Markup button in the top-right corner of the window.

Now, you can use any of the markup tools to annotate the photo. For example, you can click the Pencil tool and draw on the photo. Or, you can click the Shape tool and add a rectangle or oval.

When you’re finished, click the Done button in the top-right corner of the window. The changes you made will be saved automatically.

If you want to add a watermark to a photo, you can use the Signature tool. To do this, open the photo in Preview and click the Edit button. Then, click the Signature tool and sign your name with your finger or a stylus.

If you have a saved signature, you can click the Load Signature button and select the signature file. Once you’ve added your signature, you can resize it and move it around on the photo.

When you’re finished, click the Done button and the signature will be added to the photo.

These are just a few of the ways you can use the new markup tools in Preview. To learn more, check out the Preview Help guide.
