How to Set Up Hive Active Plugs for Energy Management

Installing Hive Active Plugs
To install your Hive Active Plugs, first screw the plugs into your sockets. Once they’re in, open the Hive app and sign in. Go to the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen and tap the “+” in the top right-hand corner. Select “Hive Active Plug” from the list of devices. You’ll need your activation code from the bottom of your plug, so have that to hand. Tap “Next” and follow the instructions on screen.
Setting up Energy Monitoring
To set up energy monitoring on your Hive Active Plugs, go to the Devices tab and tap the plug you want to monitor. Scroll down and toggle the “Energy Monitoring” switch to “On”. This will allow you to see how much power your appliances are using, and you can set up alerts to let you know when they’re getting close to their energy usage limits.
Appliance Control
You can use your Hive Active Plugs to control your appliances remotely. To do this, go to the Devices tab and tap the plug you want to control. Scroll down and toggle the “Remote Control” switch to “On”. This will allow you to turn your appliances on or off from anywhere in the world.
Power Usage
If you want to see how much power your appliances are using, go to the Devices tab and tap the plug you want to monitor. Scroll down and toggle the “Power Usage” switch to “On”. This will allow you to see how much power your appliances are using in real-time.

If you want to take your energy management to the next level, you can use Hive Active Plugs. With these plugs, you can control your appliances and lights from your phone or tablet. You can also set schedules and timers, so your appliances and lights turn off and on automatically.
To get started, first, you’ll need to download the Hive app and create an account. Then, you can add your first Active Plug. To do this, tap the “+” icon in the top right corner of the app.
Next, select “Active Plug” from the list of devices. Then, follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.
Once your Active Plug is set up, you can start controlling your appliances and lights from the app. To turn an appliance or light on or off, simply tap the switch next to it in the app.
You can also create schedules and timers for your appliances and lights. To do this, tap the “Schedules” tab in the app. Then, tap the “Add Schedule” button.
On the “Add Schedule” screen, you can choose when you want the schedule to start and end. You can also choose which days of the week you want the schedule to repeat on.
Once you’ve created a schedule, you can add appliances and lights to it. To do this, tap the “Add Device” button. Then, select the appliances and lights you want to add.
You can also create timers for your appliances and lights. To do this, tap the “Timers” tab in the app. Then, tap the “Add Timer” button.
On the “Add Timer” screen, you can choose when you want the timer to start and end. You can also choose which days of the week you want the timer to repeat on.
Once you’ve created a timer, you can add appliances and lights to it. To do this, tap the “Add Device” button. Then, select the appliances and lights you want to add.
That’s it! Now you know how to set up Hive Active Plugs for energy management.
Assuming you have already downloaded the Hive app and registered an account, follow these steps to set up your first Hive Active Plug:
1. Open the Hive app and tap the menu icon in the top left-hand corner.
2. Select ‘Devices’ from the menu.
3. Tap the ‘+’ icon in the top right-hand corner.
4. Select ‘Hive Active Plug’ from the list of devices.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set up process.
6. Once the set up is complete, tap the ‘Done’ button.
Your Hive Active Plug is now ready to use. To start using it, simply tap the ‘Power’ button in the app.
If you want to schedule your Hive Active Plug, tap the ‘Schedule’ button in the app. Here you can set a schedule for when the plug should turn on or off. You can also set a ‘Sleep’ timer, which will turn the plug off after a certain amount of time.
To rename or delete your Hive Active Plug, tap the ‘More’ button in the app. Here you will see options to rename or delete the device.
Assuming you have the Hive Hub, these are the steps to follow:
1. Download the Hive app and create an account.
2. Once you’re logged in, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner and select “Products”.
3. Find “Hive Active Plug” in the list of products and tap it.
4. Tap “Add to home”.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
6. Once the installation is complete, tap “Done”.
Your Hive Active Plug is now ready to use.
To complete the setup, open the app and select the device you wish to configure. Then, select the “Hive Active Plug” option. Choose the “Energy Management” tab, and select the “Hives” option. Here, you will be able to select the number of hives you wish to manage and the order in which they will operate. Finally, select the “Confirm” button to complete the process.

To finalize the setup process, users need to decide on a name for their energy management system and create an account. After the account is created, they will be able to add devices, set up rules, and view energy usage statistics.
